DOES THE IBO KEEP OUR WORK?
Aug 1 2011, 4:00 PM EDT | Post edited: Aug 1 2011, 4:00 PM EDT
So my teacher, says I am not allowed to keep ANY of my pieces because they are "intellectual property of IB"
Could someone that really knows clarify this? After working so hard on all my composition I can keep anything???
Does this just apply to my school?
This idea makes me really angry and honestly I feel this is a rule my teacher solely came up with.
Do you find this valuable?

Hi TebelloM,

I don't want to anger your teacher or anything but the IBO does not keep any of your work. In all the time that I have taught IB we have never kept any student's work. We hold onto their work for a while just in case there are any issues but then the students take their work if they want it. In fact, I have never had any experience with a school keeping student's IB art work if they want it after their exams are finished and the grades have been released. Hope you can work this out with your teacher!
