[I have been involved with a downsizing gov’t group- “Let the People Decide.org”, and a taxpayers group-Evans Taxpayers United- I got a lot of signatures for petitions for the former, & doing a lot of their graphics for the latter until this fall!]
Our home, is situated on an acre of land- neighbors r lots of trees I'm into gardening- big time. I now focus more on growing my food. Besides art and gardening- I love outdoors-tennis, walkn, bikn or swimming. We used to travel a lot. But a 5yr pay wage freeze -ouch! We plan to go to Spain for my 50th.Our family is going to meet where my maternal grandfather came from – N. Spain can't wait!
Favorite artists: Cesar Manrique of Lanzarote, “Nestor”of Gran Canary; C. Burchfield, C.Sherman, Mapplethorpe, M. Parrish. I would have loved to have been a Fauvist, or around during the arts & crafts movement.
Here in Buffalo, we have such a treasure trove of art- everything from architecture to artists. [We have at least one famous building built by every famous early 20th century architect- L. Sullivan to Wright. Sherman, Luongo, Burchfield had t connections toBflo. Museums are abundant -Albright Burchfield, Hallwalls, Anderson , and the Roycroft ! Our city is much more than snow and a football team that blew 4 chances @ winning a Super Bowl!
Music-Love the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, Van Morrison, Eric Clapton, CSN. Dixie Chix, Mozart, and our home girl Annie Difranco!
